Man dies for 90 minutes! What happens while he's dead?
Don Piper, an ordained Baptist minister since 1985, has written
this book along with help from his co-author Cecil Murphy, a professional writer about his life, and death experience starting with his "90 minute" death from a car accident. Rev. Piper was involved in a head on collision with a semi, and was pronounced dead. Another Baptist minister happened along down the road, whom Rev. Piper had never met, and started praying for him upon directions from God. Ninety minutes later Rev. Piper came back to life, and started singing "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Rev. Piper describes his visit to heaven for those 90 minutes, and the long road back from recovery. Physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially, and career-wise he is no longer his former self. He describes this on going process of recovery that involved going back to work, recovering from some of his infirmities, and becoming a best selling author within the book, "90 Minutes In Heaven." The book of nonfiction is also available in regular print, and on Compact Disc for US $19. I highly recommend this book based upon a true account. His ninety-minute death is well documented, and I believe his story. Unlike other near death experiences, I find nothing that contradicts the bible, or accepted Christian theology in the book. Readers, and hearers of the CD, and his personal speaking engagements have considered this encounter with Rev. Piper's story as a life-changing experience.
