could go back in time and changed things and yet there are very few books that have changed the way I think, look at life and motivated me to live a new life. Colton Wickramaratne's
autobiography is one such book. It is written in simple language and comes with short chapters which is charged with amazing stories of a modern day man of God who dared to beleive in God despite the circumstances and experience miracle after miracle in his life. I am privileged to know Pastor Colton personally and have been in his church for over a decade and have been really blessed by his ministry. What is stunning about Pastor Colton Wickramaratne's autobiography is the amazing humility in which he conveys his life story. Hailing from a Christian home pastor Colton first rebeled during his younger days but had a personal encounter with God. Through the pages that are inundated with amazing stories yet shines a real man who is just like you or me. He does not claim to be a super star. His failings, fears, determination is vividly portrayed in his book. His firm resolve to go through Bible College despite his inability to read, write and converse in English and taking no for an answer after being turned down three times is a lesson in itself. He learns English by reading the Bible in the most unimaginable way. There are quite lot of amazing stories in this book.Someone who lives right across the globe in the U.S. who has never heard of Colton's home country Ceylon ( now known as Sri Lanka) is told in a dream to support him in the eleventh hour when Pastor Colton's money runs out. Then even at a time when he is humiliated he decides to continue serving God at whatever the cost. Such faith and such perseverance motivates any man, women or child to trust God.It also speaks of a fine character, a man after God's own heart. Determination that we can be all proud of. I must say that I was privileged to listen to him Sunday after Sunday for many years. Right throughout the Book Pastor Colton's clarion call rings out. " God's method is a man and you can be that man" Amidst real stories of Angels,
miracles and super natural events Pastor Colton beckons the ordinary to live extraordinary lives, to be a history makers, to live the very purpose for which we have been created for. My Adventure in Faith is a must read for those who are searching for the very purpose of life
