Street Kid

Book Review by: KarinaCarrington

Original Author: Judy Westwater
In Just about every Newspaper around the world would be a story of survival one way or another. Whether it would be about
getting lost in a bush days at end, or surviving a blizzard whilst climbing the biggest mountain, or even about defying all odds against death being in a car or plane crash. Could you ever possibly imagine that the innocence of a small child could survive the streets, survive starvation, beatings, verbal, mental abuse and rape amongst other horrific circumstances. A young girl named Judy tells her story with I the reader glued to every page. I took in word for word of her journey growing up and I am left shattered with emotion of sorrow and anguish, but most of all I was left with hope as her story contains vivid scenes no child should have to ever endure. Judy came through life with a good head on her shoulders to fight her situation the way she did and she came out on top a wonderful author and human being.
