This is the most admired story of the second World War. This is one of my most memorable reading experience. I read a synopsis from the Reader''s Digest published in 2001 and it's all about the monument in Netherland which used by a Jews family and a family friend as a hiding place for three years from the NAZI's. The synopsis urges me to do more research about it. Alas, fortunately, my friend from Solano found a novel kept by his father for four years before they migrated in America. Ohh.. Thank you Frank Anthony Mercado for giving me the book.
This is a story of fear, innocence, love and unnoticed envy among siblings. Hiding in the attic for almost three years is very pathetic situation, that the only thing Anne would do is to spend writing her diary. Everything what she felt, everything what she thinks people should feel. Her undying love with Peter who lives with them, and unnoticed jealousy to her sister. The way she thinks how her father treated her and her sibling. Anne is so young but full of hope. She was determined and almost predicted her life. When her pen was accidentally burnt, unconciously she said she might be like her pen. She would die young. She would be famous after all.
She never kept some important thoughts, she is free from saying what she thinks a young girl should do. She fight when everybody wants to burn her diary when they found knew about it. When her father was away, They were caught by the Nazi soldiers and brought them to one place and another separately. She was with her sister and the old one was separated from them. She felt how her sister love her. They were inflicted with a different kind of fever. though she don''t have an idea that her sister died before her she felt. That one of those cadaver burnt was her sister. She never fear of death, but keep on observing the face of the dead, trying to find out how the dead looks like.
She died and was burnt. As she was predicted. then, finally became famous and honored.
