Tortured for Christ

Book Review by: LeiraOlecra

Original Author: Richard Wurmbrand
The Red Peril   Communism is defined as a society
with common ownership of property in which all men are equal
and nobody is
exploited.  This is the greatest
revolutionary movement whose mission is to take every country in the world.  Richard Wurmbrand, a preacher,
suffered in the hands of communists when the communist seized Rumania in 1945
and attempted to control everything. For three long years he had painful
solitary confinement, seeing nobody but his communist torturers.  He suffered all kinds of tortures, from
brainwashing to water cure.  For 17 hours
a day he was made to listen to a recorded tape over a loud speaker saying Christianity
is stupid. Once he lived in an icebox know to communists as refrigerator cells.  Women were forced to work with the
same load and as hard as the work of men. Girls were raped. Some workers ate
rats and insects to survive. This was according to Wurmbrand in his book,
“Tortured for Christ.”
 People in a non-communist country
do not wish these things to happen in their lives and before their very eyes.
Prayers to Someone up there and support to the stable existing government is
necessary.
