This book details the life of the prestigious writer George Orwell. The author exposes to the writer in all facets and tries
to arrive at a truth that always is difficult to obtain but in this case all the material possible takes shelter to decipher to the outlandish personality of the author of best-sellers like “Rebellion in Farm” and “1984”, the book where the concept of the Great Brother and it has inspired the world-wide series of reality shows which today we see like a normal event in our routine daily life. The life of Orwell was not different from the one from the personages who have occupied their works. Great part of them leaves from the personality of their creator, and that fiction does not defer too much from the Orwell´s reality. Their main works, where the pesimism includes all the aspects of his personality, are the faithful reflection of the personality of the writer in which the melancholy abounded, the pesimism, a strong conviction in the apocalyptic future of the human being and some disillusion along the new ideas that arose at the moment, which led him to be taken like a symbol of the left-wing thinkers and a hero between the fervent American anti-communists of postwar period. This intellectual independence gave him the prestige and the permanence in the posterity that has obtained.
