Anton P. Chekhov- Russian moralist, dramatist, representative of psychological realism, great in writing short stories, novels and satires, also a doctor. Chekhov shows the tragedy of Russia. He begins his work in the 80 years of XIX century. Chekhov was known like Antosha Chekhonte.
We can divide his works to two periods:
The first period-till 1885-Chekhov draws attention to the flaws of Russian Society.
The second period-He begins to write about light issues(for example love) and also Chekhov did not depart from the social problems.In 1894: "Sahalin" in this case he appears a doctor, scientist worker, writer, researcher. In 1892 got the property Melihovo where Chekhov was a doctor, member of landlords, curator of the village school and writer.
By reason of the illness(tuberculosis) in 1897 moved to Nice for the medical treatment, and in 1898 moved to Yalta, the Crimea, in the house where writer used to live became today his memorial flat. He married to Olga Knipper, she was a actress of the Moscow Art Theater. Anton P. Chekhov died in 1904 in the German health resort Badenveiler.
