Our Queen

Book Review   by:MaryCassells     Original Author: Robert Hardman

I confess. I am a closet Royalist. I don't see how I could not be. My family is from the United Kingdom. My Mom told me about the bravery of the Queen's family during the war. King George and his wife, Queen Elizabeth, would visit the places that were bombed. Meanwhile Princess Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, were brave as well.

When I grew up in the sixties the portrait of Queen Elizabeth, was in our school. I lived in a small torn called Yarmouth.

Back then, the national anthem and God Save the Queen was played before the movies at the theater.. We all stood up at attention. It was just something we did.

If I could only afford one book, it would be something on the royal family. On lonely nights at the hospital, these books are good for the patients and the nurses and doctors and everyone on the wing.

This book is interesting. The pictures of Queen Elizabeth II are beautiful.

The book is fairly dense. It would like take about a month to read. There is an index in case one wants to read just parts of it.

I found the picture of the Royal Family at the back to be funny. They are standing at the balcony of Buckingham Palace. I assume there is the air force flying by.

The writer put a lot of work on this book.
