John

Book Review   by:happyhorse10     Original Author: Cynthia Lennon
ª

Cynthia Lennon gave a very passionate account of her story with John. She tells the reader of a young romance that began at school. He was a cheeky lad and played up to the annoyance of his teachers. He would be a practical joker at times. John and Paul meet and join different bands where members change as if it is a leap frog game. After a time popular bands formed to packed matinee performance houses.

later on the members that would be known as The Beatles formed and as the world knows Pete Best was replaced with Ringo Starr. The times were busy with schedules and studio performances. The press were close by once they were popular. There were gigs to play at and they would play to packed houses continuously. When john came home to a pregnant Cynthia who was close to Paul's girl friend at the time, it was romantic. he would surprise her with gifts and had a sense of mystery at times.

John could get side tracked in his own little world, one of those times was when he kept a small yellow book. It was from a female artist, her name was Yoko.Cynthia was left behind several times and sought the comfort of a close friend. The author takes the reader on a journey. The story displays that John had a dark side to the persona we see. When he met Yoko, John seemed to be consumed by her and lost touch with the reality of his world before she came along. Cynthia saw descend into a person she didn't know any longer. There was obviously an affair taking place right in her home. This caused a Cynthia great concern as Yoko became a dark shadow in her life. John became cold and unreasonable. He was without emotion now showing little concern for her and little for his son. John was brought up by his grandmother, and had adopted a similar facade as she bestowed on him
