Molly Moon is a skinny girl, she had great green eyes with a very special look. When she was a baby she was left at the door of the orphanage Hardwick House, an awful place. She grew up alone. Her only faithful friend was Rocky, a black boy who was smart, gentle and shared her pains and joys. Miss Adderstone, the headmaster, had a cold heart. She never considered her pupil's feelings, specially Molly's. She and the eldest children made Molly feel out of place. But Molly had a lot of dreams in her heart. That some day she would go away, far from Hardwick House. One day Molly went to the local library to borrow a book. The librarian was a nice lady who allowed her to look for a book. There was another person too, professor Nockman. It was said that he had come from America in search of a rare book, but Molly had taken it with her. Later, at home, she discovered it was the most interesting book she had ever read. It was about hypnotism. She decided to learn how to hypnotize, Rocky would be surprised! But her friend was no longer here. Miss Adderstone had called an American family to adopt Rocky and now he was departed to New York. Molly had to found Rocky! To fly to New York she would had to get a lot of money. The only way was to win the children’s Annual Abilities Competition at downtown. She was certain of passing the audition with the help of hypnotism. And so on, her powerful look gave her control over the people and she won the prize: a lot of money to fly to New York in search for Rocky. She arrived to New York with her small dog, Petula. Once she got a job in Broadway she became a very wealthy girlstar, a true success. One day Professor Nockman showed up to rescue the rare book of hypnotism. Suddenly Rocky met Molly! The two friends shared their latest experiences. Rocky told Molly he had read the same book as her and now he was a hypnotist too! While Molly used her powerful eyes, Rocky used his hypnotic voice! Meanwhile, Nockman had kidnapped Petula to make Molly obey him for assaulting a bank.
The children had a smart plan to control Nockman. After the robbery they hypnotized Nockman and turned him into the most gentle man. They gave back what they had stolen. With Petula safe, they returned home. They were very worried about the youngest children in Hardwick Home. They found the house in complete chaos after the departure of Miss Adderstone and the eldest people. All of them had been hypnoptized by Molly before she left to New York. Mrs.Trinklebury, an open-hearted woman, was the only one left at Hardwick Home. The children were dirty and hungry, but now a new life was going to begin at Hardwick Home. They renamed the house: House of Happiness. When Molly found in her pocket a great diamond, a remain of the booty, she thought: What a luck, now the House of Happiness can work for a long time! Proffessor Nockman and Mrs. Trinklebury took care of the children. Now he was a better person, kind and helpful with the people. He was begining a new life beside Mrs. Trinklebury. As a child he had an unhappy childhood, his parents used to beat him. Now he had someone he could really take care of and he wouldn’t be alone any more. Molly was learning that luck sometimes can be like destiny, and she was a very lucky girl indeed, able to make any thing she wanted in life. Her life changed when she found the book. Before this she never dreamed she could go this far. She had lived a great experience indeed, but from now on she promised herself, and Rocky agreed, they would behave and not hypnotize anybody. They would enjoy life and help others to enjoy it as well.
