In most of the stories Anne is quiet and timid like a little mouse but in this one she is fierce and brave like a tiger: Anne is so angry that the bad guys are stealing the boat that she goes after them like a tiger. In this book, Julian and Anne and Dick move very near Kirrin Cottage so they see each other a lot more often. They meet Wilfred who is an animal lover and is very good with Timmy. The five along with Wilfred go to whispering island where stunned, the children find gleaming statues hidden away. The first time they see statues is in crates and then when Timmy got really thirsty Wilfred found a little secret storage compartment inside a well which also had lustrous statues. This book is really good so I gave it a nine or nine point five out of ten.
