The Sheep-pig and Ace

Book Review   by:Mej1     Original Author: Dick King Smith

This book is about two super pigs – Babe, the sheep-pig, and his great grandson Ace; his name is that because of the mark on his body which is in the shape of an ace of clubs on his side. I think is it a very funny, very exciting and overall, an excellent book, which is great for any animal lover or a person in the need of a good read! I really did enjoy each story. I think that the author is also fantastic! No-one can write better animal stories than him! This book is not just one story – it’s two together in one book. I would rate both of the stories 10/ 10 because they are just so good! Here is the storyline: Babe is won at the fair by Mr. Hogget, who doesn’t ever win anything (well, now he does)! The piglet is looked after by a sheep dog called Fly and he learns to be a proper sheep pig – he even won a Trail, which is a competition in herding sheep. Ace likes to watch telly; he understands what the humans say and returns with a grunt or 2.
