“The Famous Five – Five Get Into Trouble” by Enid Blyton
As April holidays are here and with this warm weather the Five have a great idea - a biking tour! all by themselves. Julian, Dick, Anne and George accompanied by Timmy the dog ride their bikes for miles. Julian who is the oldest, is in charge of the others too, he has a map and plans their way. They like to stop by a lake for swim, and sleep in their sleeping-bags watching the stars over the clear sky. In the next morning they discover a bicycle beside a tree near the pool. Soon they meet Richard swimming in the water. This young boy wants to join them on their biking tour. He tells them about himself and his family who is very rich and owns the land around. In addition he mentions a bodyguard his father had before. The children are not so sure about Richard and his stories but agree that he will continue with them for a short while to his aunt ‘s home. Later on a very complex adventure starts, it involves some criminals, ex-prisoners and run-away one too. The children are witnesses to these men cruelty and are been held in an isolated place on Owel’s Hill. How can they get out? This bothers them since the old house is surrounded by a high wall and locked by gates. With a bit of luck they over hear a conversation about a car that is about to leave and they manage to get little Richard into the trunk instructing him to get the police as soon as possible. Richard manages to escape and run to find the police station. Then the story takes a turn and gets finally to a good and happy ending
