A Handful of Thieves

Book Review   by:Mej1     Original Author: Nina Bawden

Fred, Sid, Rosie, Algy and Clio are the Cemetery Committee and they are saving up for a big fireworks display. Fred’s grandmother is taking in this stranger who calls himself a vegetarian although Sid swore that he saw the mysterious man at the café eating a big juicy steak – he has great superstitions about this Mr Gribble guy. Follow the kids as they try to track a thief by acting like one. The strangest thing about this man was that he had the voice of a fat person even though he was a tall, thin, evil man. He is a criminal and Sid knows it but can’t get everyone else to believe him until he strikes! This book is one of my favourites!
