Lightening McQueen is a hotshot racing car poised to become the first ever rookie to get the Piston Cup trophy. However, on his journey to Los Angeles, he is lost and ends up in a small (nearly) abandoned town called Radiator Springs. Here he makes some new pals Mater, Sal and others as well as meeting the Piston Cup three time winner Hudson Hornet under the name of Doc Hudson. They teach him some of the important things in life and that it is good to slow down every once in a while. This book is strongly recommended for 8 – 12 year olds to read on their own or for any age group to read with their parents or older siblings or maybe just listen to them read.
