Old Macdonald's Farm

Book Review   by:Mej1     Original Author: Liz Pichon

Young children will love Old MacDonald’s Farm. It is great fun making all of the funny animal noises and doing the great actions. Read the rhyme together and touch and feel the different textures: the woolly sheep, the velvety dog ears, the furry soft cow and more. Then try to encourage your child to do the actions shown in the pictures and let the children learn basic phonics and letter sounds by making the animal noises. For example, the cows mooing: moo, moo, moo. It introduces children to these basic sounds. This book is part of the few nursery rhyme books in the toddlers’ series including Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and The Wheels on the Bus.
