The Firework Maker's Daughter

Book Review   by:Mej1     Original Author: Phillip Pullman
ª

Lila wants to be a firework maker just like her father, but before she can even start she has to make a dangerous, grave voyage to the lair of the Fire-Fiend, battling her way through out-of-the-ordinary lands and frightening situations with elephants and pirates and bizarre beasts abundantly tempting her from her trail to get the Royal Sulphur from Razvani, the Fire-Fiend. But Lila needs some magic water from the Lake Goddess and she does not have any. Without this, Lila will burn when trying to go through the fire to be a firework maker. Lila has two best friends who help her out in some scary scenes. They are Hamlet and Chulak. Hamlet is a white elephant who talks and Chulak is the boy who looks after Hamlet.
