Bad Kitty

Book Review   by:ReaditDiva     Original Author: Nick Bruel

Kitty wasn't always bad.
Normally she was a purr-fectly polite pet...until the day her family ran out of proper kitty cuisine and decided to feed their finicky feline healthy food. Even adults will get a kick out of the feisty humor in this picture book for children. Descriptions of the new healthier menu and Bad Kitty's explosive reaction to those foods are detailed from A to Z and back again. Each trip through the alphabet is a rollercoaster ride of cat antics. Children will howl with laughter when a "very, very, bad, bad, BAD Kitty" takes one look at the Asparagus, Beets, and Cauliflower (“Ack!”) and wrecks total havoc on her owner's home. And for those cat owners who even think about running out of cat food at home - well, just read this book. Consider yourself warned!

You just can't keep a bad kitty down. Read more about this cantankerous cat who terrorizes the family dog in the sequel Poor Puppy by Nick Bruel (link below). The book Bad Kitty vs. Uncle Murray was so popular among young readers that it was nominated for 3rd and 4th Grade "BOOK OF THE YEAR" by the Children's Book Council and Children's Book Week in 2011.

If you've got a "bad kitty" in your own home, or if you're looking for the perfect name for a different (and hopefully better behaved!) pet, try the website Bow Wow Meow: Pet Names with Personality (see link).
