Hi Fly Guy

Book Review   by:ReaditDiva     Original Author: Tedd Arnold

Fishing pole? Check. Giant cage? Got it. Gator bait? Right here. Now all he needed to do is catch something really amazing to take to the Amazing Pet Show. But what Buzz finds (or rather, bumps into) is usually considered a pest, not a pet. Hi Fly Guy , the first in the popular chapter book series written and illustrated by Tedd Arnold, is the story of a friendship between a boy named Buzz and a tiny insect with a giant heart. While he may not win the title of “Cutest Pet”, or “Tallest Pet”, or even the “Pet With the Most Legs”, Fly Guy wins over the judges at the show with his amazing high flying trick.

Hi Fly Guy
is a Theodore Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) Honor Book. Easy-to-read with hilarious illustrations, these chapter book are aimed at boys but would be enjoyable for girls, especially reluctant readers. Other books in this popular series include:
Shoo, Fly Guy!
Hooray for Fly Guy!
There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly Guy
Fly High, Fly Guy
Super Fly Guy

For morer funny chapter books for reluctant readers, try the Nate the Great mysteries by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat or One Dark and Scary Night by comedian Bill Cosby.
