Upper Fourth at Malory Towers

Book Review   by:Mej1     Original Author: Enid Blyton
ª

Connie and Ruth join the school at the start of the term, and the girls are quick to deduce that Connie is by far the most overriding twin. Ruth barely says anything and when she tries, Connie finishes her sentences for her.

'The Honourable Clarissa Carter' also starts at the boarding school but she is meek and mousy with braces and thick glasses: Gwen was expecting a very posh-looking, rich girl to spend her holidays with but what she finds is Clarissa. The new girl is quickly made friends with Gwen who tells her horrible things about the other girls and soon starts thinking the school is filled with nasty people…

I like it when Clarissa and Gwen are invited to the girl’s nurse’s (Clarissa has a weak heart) house and the Nurse has a feast for the whole class but only the two girls go…

Clarissa and Gwen take the food back and have a midnight feast with the rest of the form and Alicia’s best friend Betty comes with two other girls (all three are in a different gate)…
