The Wind in the Willows Part 1/20: Mole Meets the River

Book Review   by:Mej1     Original Author: Kenneth Grahame
ª

In the first book, which I am pretty sure is the first chapter of the complete book, Mole meets Rat for the first time and the two become friends. They decide to go on a picnic in a boat on the river…

The Wind in the Willows, Kenneth Grahame’s masterpiece, is split up into twenty delightful hardbook books, each with fantastic illustrations and a large font to assist younger children aged around eight.

The only problem is the sophisticated vocabulary consisting of words like ‘bijou’ and ‘sinuous’ which don’t consist in my vocabulary (I’m nearly twelve) never mind a seven year olds’!
