Ivan and the All-Stars

Book Review   by:Innereye     Original Authors: Kathleen Cook Waldron; Pictures by Mark Thurman
ª

Ivan just moved in a new neighborhood with his mom. He doesn't want to make new friends, he wants to become a star. After watching television, he decides to become a movie star, but Hollywood is very far and soon he decides to become a rock star. He makes a little show in his garage, selling tickets in his neighborhood. Three little girls come and enjoy his performance. Ivan then realizes that making shows in his garage doesn't bring him the fortune he dreams of. He then decides to become a baseball star so he can play outside instead of staying in his garage. Ivan is new to baseball, and on his first game he doesn't do too well. But with time and practice, and more friends to play with, he becomes better at this game. And they all decide together to make a team of their own and call it the All Stars.
