My Dog Toby

Book Review   by:Innereye     Original Authors: Andrea Zimmerman; David Clemesha; True Kelley (Illustrations)

The story is narrated by a little girl talking about her dog named Toby. She describes her dog, and everything he does, such as barking when sleeping next to her to protect her from a bug walking by. Or staring at the window when she leaves for school. His favorite games are to pull on an old sock and chasing her outside as she runs. The little girl loves her dog and is very proud of it. But there is just one little issue, Toby doesn't do any trick. He doesn't fetch like her friend's dog, he doesn't roll over or dance, and he definitely doesn't sit when asked to. The little girl won't stop trying to teach him to sit, she will actually show him how to sit, she will try to tell him to sit in different languages, such as spanish, french and even barking language...
