Northwest Territories is in northwest of Canada. Yellowknife is it's capital, which also the only city in the territory.

Lichens and mosses are the most plants growing in the northwest.

This is "The Land of the Midnight Sun", in summer solstice, people observe the longest day as the sun doesn't set for 24 hours. As in winter, in some parts of the territory people observe "The Land of the Longest Night" as the sun doesn't rise for 24 hours.

The Arctic Graylings are fishes that can survive in frozen water with very poor level of oxygen and are found in the Northwest Territories. Other animals are found as well, such as muskox, polar bears, Narwhals, white foxes...

The diamond is the official gemstone of the Northwest Territories. They were discovered in 1991 and helped the Territories build their economy with a production of $1.7 million per day.

There are 2 important special places in the Northwest Territories: Nahanni National Park and Wood Buffalo National Park.
