This book is written by Anne Holm. In the book called 'I am David “stars a boy who is twelve years called David who escapes from a grisly concentration camp in Eastern Europe. Since he spent his twelve year life in the camp he knows nothing about the world and feels it is strange. He was educated values and shapes of letters in other countries by a man called Johannes. So, he is a boy who is mainly against violence. He almost remembers every word Johannes showing that he is a smart boy. A man in the camp told him to go to Denmark where he will be safe .On the way to Denmark he rescues a rich girl in Italy called Maria. They were so grateful they let the stay in their house thinking that David is lost from a circus. When the mother noticed that David was strange and thought David would be a bad influence to her children, she talked to her husband, the father of getting rid of him. When he, David heard that he was devastated and ran away immediately. He also faced many other obstacles like sleeping in an unkind farmer's cow’s area and getting chased by other concentration camp officer in Denmark. Finally he knocked on a door in Denmark and the lady there was his mother. To sum it up, it has very rich vocabulary and the author has established feelings into it.
