When I first heard of Twilight by Stephanie Meyers, I thought that the book would be childish and very wrong for me a die hard Anne Rice fan to endorse. Then during a vacation from work, I had read every book on my shelf too many times each and thought well I might as well check this book out. So I downloaded it to my phone and from page one was hooked. With my next paycheck I bought and restarted the book. It was like reading a modern teen version of Interview with A Vampire. Sure the charcter development and the plot were very teen drama thing and very elementary from Anne Rice. Yet the basics of the characters and plot were what captured my interests. Plus after reading book one in only 2 days, I bought book 2 of the series. So needless to say I am a Twilight fan and wouldn't be afraid to say so. At not anymore. Now I am among friends who have read and watched the movies. Plus I influenced my mother, a non reader, to pick up the books and read them one by one. She would into my room and steal my books. If a 40 year old grandmother liked the books I'm sure anyone would enjoy the reading of this book and the series.
