So, in the living series that is Harry potter, the mixture of publication, advertising and all the little ins and outs of selling, berty bots every flavor beans, you wonder with all the merchandising, does anyone remember the book?! Now, don’t get me wrong, I loved the movies, all of them to date. However, the true essence of Harry is supposed to be the book right? Now, I KNOW the books moved off of the shelf like mad fire, I was at the super market first thing buying my copy, and I went home and read it, every single word. It was totally worth the 20 dollars I spent on it, I LOVED the book, it made sense in a whimsical way the horcrux being how He who shall not be named aka Voldemort didn’t die like the wormy murderous scum he is. BUT the ending, oh my goooooodness I hated it it, HOW HOW HOW could she kill off the one man, whose been there day after day after day for Harry, I mean heck, last book his uncle dies, this one Dumbledore.. Man I cried I laughed I sobbed I called her crazy… Why Oh Why kill Albus Dumbledore, so now, I am in the middle of a crisis, to love JK Rowling or hate her for killing of the most enigmatic character in the series aside from the little school kid group.
Here I am an adult, complaining about what is professed as a childs book… anyways.. I am also looking forward to the next movie, I have seen the previews for it, and it looks really good, its got some really neat special effects but will it honestly do the books justice, I have found that often book movies do not do the books themselves any justice. Generally a book is 5 to 20 chapters More if it’s a really good book and when making a movie out of a book the editors have to cut down a lot of stuff and often times cut out half the book. I like books, I am an avid reader and I like movies too, so far the Harry Potter movies are good I just hate how they have to cut out so much of the good content in the movies. So, that’s My abstract on Harry Potter.
