Heidi / By Johanna Spyri (First Published in 1880) The story is about a girl (Heidi), who had to come
to mountains of Swiss Alps at the age of five to live with her grand
father. Her aunt, who took care of her since the death of little Heidi’s parents could not afford her anymore. Her grand father, who was known as a notorious and gloomy person, on the other hand was unhappy about the event. However, each of the days on the untouched mountain
brought Heidi the love and care of him and he in turn found the joyousness of life. This was lasted until Heidi was suddenly taken to Frankfurt to be a companion to Clara, a sick girl. Heidi brought a great joy to Clara’s life, but missed her grandfather & her life on the Swiss Mounts. Finally all of them found their joy with the miracle of faith and goodness.
