Who are the main characters? Who is your
favourite character and why? Victoria, Albert the king and queen of England and
their subjects are the main characters. I don’t really have a
favourite character because there isn’t really a very enjoyable character in the book. What is the basic plot of the book and how does it develop? The book is about how the people of England lived in the Victorian times and it describes the major events in Victoria’s life like the First World War and how people were affected. How would you describe the atmosphere of the book? It doesn’t have an atmosphere because it is a non-fiction book. Though bits of it are
exciting while others action packed or sorrowful. What was the most exciting moment in the book? It is rather exciting when Victoria doesn’t go into public because Albert died of typhoid. What were the best and worst things about this book? The best thing about the book is that it covers a whole range of areas of life e.g. Victoria as a child, British Empire, The Royal Palaces. Did this book change the way you thought or felt about anything? Yes, I now know all about Victorian times and how hard it was for poor people. Who do you think would like this book? 8 – 12 year olds would understand it and 30 year olds know it and 100 year olds have experienced bit of it like her death. What rating would you give this book out of ten? I would rate this book 7/10
