I read this book to my little brother and he really enjoyed this book so if you have younger siblings about 4 - 6 then they
would like this book. It is about Roy who is very nasty. He hurts horses, kills cats, damages dog and lots of other things. Roy is old and lonely but he has a reputation to keep up so he stays tough and rough and mean. One
day, a new family come to town the same day as Roy but they have heard nothing about him. While everyone is hiding in their houses, the Leghorns go for a morning walk. They see Roy and Larry who was only a chick and hadn''t learnt manners commented Roy nastily! Suddenly, Roy began to cry but Larry soon cheered him up and changed Roy for ever. Now his is a rooster who is
liked by everyone. I liked the bit where he kidnapped a cow and the cow was cross. The pictures are fabulous and very bright and stand out! I would rate this book 7/10.
