Trapped in Salem, Volume
i: Conicals of
the Exorcist
By Anthony Antolic
“Trapped in
Salem, Volume I: Conicals of the Exorcist” largely unfolds as if
from the perspective of a Roman Catholic Priest “on his death bed
recalling some events of his childhood.” The author draws upon an
understanding of history and certain scriptural principles to
investigate what may be viewed as a fundamental conflict between
notions of
good and
evil. The tale also touches upon certain
political and social conditions that may have underscored the era
around the Salem “Witch Trials.” As the protagonist, John Putnam,
and his three siblings are literally thrown back in
time, and get to
see first hand what life was life in Salem Village, Massachusetts, in
1692. With elements of suspense and emotion, “Trapped in Salem,”
is designed to capture the readers imagination as well as enlighten
and provoke thought. I hope you enjoy this
adventure as much as I
did. This book should be on the selves by this time next year.
All
five of the stories are meant to entertain as well as educate. I hope
that you would enjoy this story along with the rest of this series,
and consider what is being said. For the past year I have been
researching and developing this fictional world, with strong
Christian symbolism and metaphor. The story entitled Trapped in
Salem, is a classic story of Good Vs. Evil. Although it deals a
lot of Christian theology and old world philosophy, Trapped in
Salem also has an element of fantasy and mysticism that should
help it appeal to children of all ages. Trapped in Salem, is
the first book in a series entitled, The Exorcist Conicals.
