books series might wonder how many more adventures could happen on the small Kirrin Island? Well, this time Uncle Quentin, George’s father has decided to do some scientific experiments on the island where he can continue his work uninterrupted. The
children who really like Kirrin Island find it hard to be kept away from this lovely place during their holidays. Once they rowed over there to supply him with fresh food but could not find where he was, searching everywhere… until Uncle Quentin showed up. He never revealed to the children any details of his secret ideas and discoveries. Situation turns out to be serious when Uncle Quentin finds a cigarette end since he does not smoke it leads him to believe that there is another person spying him. Everyone remembers a few times in the past when Uncle Quentin data was at risk, therefore Timmy the faithful dog who rescued the children from previous adventures is to stay with him as guard. George has mixed feeling since she was never apart from her dog, but knows that with him Uncle Quentin can be safe. Back at Kirrin Cottage they try to pass their time together waiting twice a day for Uncle Quentin signaling he is fine. The children meet a new boy called Martin, who is fond of drawing. He lives near the
coastguard cottage. The friendly coastguard allows them to use his telescope to explore Kirrin Island. George feels very worried when she cannot see her dog on the island through the coastguard telescope and decides at the middle of the night to go all be herself with her boat to look for Timmy and her father. The story is now getting a bit complicated on the Island. An unexpected ending awaits the exciting readers, but don’t worry Timmy is coming out as a hero again.
