After a miserable childhood spent in public houses, the lonely, starving and miserable orphan boy, Oliver Twist runs away when he is barely twelve.Reaching London, Oliver is taken in by a gang of thieves and house breakers led by the master criminal Fagin. Eventually Oliver is befriended by a gentleman Mr.BrownLow, whom the theives rob. Mr. Brownlow happens to be Oliver''''s dead father''''s old friend. Mr. Brownlow extracts a confession from monks who is oliver''''s half brother. Monks had known about the existence of his half brother and had plotted to eliminate him. With the help of the kind hearted Mr. Brownlow, Oliver finally learns his true identity and gains a family and an inheritance.
