“A to Z Mysteries – The Invisible
Island” by Ron Roy
This
story attracts the young readers of grade 2-4 right from the
book’s cover page by its name “The Invisible Island”. One might wonder how the story got this title? You will get to the answer by keep on reading through the book and flipping its pages and you’ll soon understand. Three kids Dick, Josh and Ruth Rose start a mystery on a hot summer day by finding a hundred dollar bill. One of their first ideas is of buried pirate treasure but fresh big footprints on the shore of Squaw Island puzzle them. Their adventure get complicated since not many would dare go to the island where poison ivy grows. But the
children have good detective sense and are eager to continue and follow their natural curiosity to clear things out. Without revealing too many details a happy end awaits our heros. Ron Roy writes very well for children and in addition there are fine illustrations by John Steven Gurney.
