Robin Hood- Faisal Bhatti Robin Hood is happily living with his men in Sherwood
Forest. He is bold enough that
he married with the ward of the
king Richard the lion heart. Then one day they heard that their gallant king is captured by the enemy and kept in the prison. Vast sum for his ransom is demanded. All the people of the country collected money for the king. Robin also half of his gold and money and sent it to the Mayer of London with a note that it is from Robin Hood for their dear king. When at length the king released and returned home. After someday he discovered about Robin’s generosity and his bold deeds, he becomes curious about him and ordered to find him. But Robin did not found. The king himself went for hunting in the Sherwood
Forest but Robin was nowhere. At last, one day when king dressed as an abbot along with his knights traveling on the highway, suddenly a tall man carrying a large bow came out of the woods and blocked their way. He told them that they would not go further without paying a visit to his place. With this, he blew a whistle and some twenty archers appeared around them. This man was Robin himself. He took them deep in the forest. The king, then dine with him. After that Robin requested them that they must tell the king about the manners of Robin and his men in the Forest and ask for his favour. Robin then showed his skill in shooting and asked the king whom he considered as an abbot for contest. Then the great time came, the king’s face unveiled and Robin recognize him at once and shouted his order to his men, ‘Tis the king! Kneel men kneel!’ Fair Marian who just arrived there curtsied humbly. The king then reveals his whole face and amused at the situation. He caught Robin by hand and lifted him to his feet and told him that he is really inspired by the disciplined life that Robin’s men carried under his order. He then ordered him to leave this life and freely go at his wife’s estate and carry a normal life. Robin deeply moved by the generosity of the king and vowed to be always faithful to him.
