Amelia Bedelia is a literal house maid who has been hired by Mr. and Mrs. Roger.
Mr. and Mrs Rogers are going to have a day out and they left Amelia Bedelia a
list of things to do. The first on the list is for her to dress the chicken, in which Amelia Bedelia put on a shorts and a shirt on the chicken, She was
told to bake a
cake and have it set first to rise, what she did to have the dough rise is to put a string and raise it up his in the air. She was told to clean the fireplace and fill the woodbox, she cleaned the fire place and dust on the wood box. The next on the list is to pot the flowers, Amelia Bedelia
took out all the
pots in the kitchen and transfered all the
flowers on the pots. She was told to make a spongecake, having not understood what is a spongecake, she took a real sponge and put icing around them. but before that she made a real cake from her own recipes.
When the Rogers came home, they were surprise with the all those things that Amelia Bedelia had done but they were all relieved when she served them a very deliecious cake.
