Skimpole Street First Eleven were a very bad football team. Follow all the players as they recap, in a diary form, what happened on the day they were kicked out of the Inter-Schools Football Competition. All of the boys give their point of view of what happened on that dreadful day, that dreadful, dreadful day. But the boys are not the only ones who have a say; a mother of one of the players (Gary Sandford’s mother, called Mrs Carrie Sandford) and the Headmaster (Mr Gareth Watkins) also have a chapter each. The main bad events on the terrible day were:
- The referee got his bottom bit by Punter, the school caretaker’s dog
- Mrs Sandford became a substitute and scored a goal but it didn’t count
- Piano Legs was away with chicken pox so Wimpy J had to be in goal instead
- The Brown twins (Kevin and Norman) had a fight and had to go off side
- The team were chucked out of the Inter-Schools Football Competition
The main good events:
- The team got a new fitter and better coach (Mrs Sandford)
So as you can see, the day was terrible for the team!
