This book is a shorter version of Disney’s adapted version of Jungle Book 2. It is very different to the original but then
again as is the first. In this book, Mowgli is now living in the man village and he is happy although he does miss his one true home – the jungle. He wants to go back and nearly leads all the village children to his real home but Shanti realises what happens and gets Mowgli in big trouble. Meanwhile, in the jungle Baloo, the bear, is really missing his little man cub. Bagheera, the panther, is watching him in horror and when the wild at tries to stop the bear going to the man village, he ends up finding himself watching the bear go to the man village with the help of a baby elephant. When Baloo takes Mowgli to the jungle, Shanti and Ranjan go as well…
