Robin Hood

Book Summary by: Mej1

Original Author: Ladybird
Robin Hood is an exemplary figure in English folklore, whose story originates from medieval times but who remains significant
in a well-liked society where he is painted as a gentleman recognized for stealing from the well off to provide for the poor men and women who were underprivileged. He was also known for fighting against unfairness and cruelty. His group consists of a load of chap outlawed by the Sheriff – called his ‘Merry Men’. He is always seen in pictures with his bow and bag of arrows. Ladybird has shortened the story to fit into a normal Ladybird book size (A6 – A5 if unfolded). It is a nice story with an interesting story line and beautifully illustrated pictures.
