When Shere Khan, the man eating tiger, returns to the jungle to find Mowgli, it is no longer safe for him to live
there. So he sets off with his good friend Bagheera, the panther, in search of the man village. But the journey with Bagheera ends when Mowgli goes off with a load of elephants. Then Mowgli makes friends with a bear called Baloo and they have lots of fun and exciting adventures together…
My favourite character has to be King Louis the King of the Apes who orders his monkeys to get the man cub and bring Mowgli to him. The only way this part of the book could have been better is that it should have the song, or even just an extract, that King Louis sings.
