The Cornish Ogre had invited his friend the Giant to his place for a while. While the giant was
not home, children played in his garden. They loved climbing the trees and playing games in the soft green grass. Then the giant came back and didn’t let them play in his garden. When the next winter came, it did not do: spring and summer and autumn came to all of the other gardens but not his…Then the children came back through a hole and they brought the sun and the beauty of nature with them. The giant had made friends with a little boy who. He gave him a kiss. The giant ran to him and found that the child had prints of nails on his palms and feet. The child said that they were the wounds of love. He said he wanted to take him to his garden, which he said is Paradise. This little boy is Jesus and since the giant had been good, he was invited to Heaven. If he had told the children to go away when they came the second time, he would not have been allowed in this magnificent kingdom. This is another beautiful sad story from Oscar Wilde!!!!!!!!
