The Wind in the Willows Part 2/ 20: Mole Falls In

Book Review by: Mej1

Original Author: Kenneth Grahame
In the second book, Mole and Rat have just enjoyed a picnic and a relaxing row down the river in the Water Rat’s boat followed.
Then Mole wants a go with the oars and this can only mean disaster…
The thing I love most about this book is how the animals are personified and live in houses and wear clothes. I think that is very, very cool because Water Rat has a house with like mud walls and tunnels, whereas Toad is very rich, and has Toad Hall, which is very big and grand.
It is very funny when Mole is apologising and condemning himself and then Water Rat says he spends more time in the water than out so there was no need for all the apologising.
