This book is more appalling than the thirteenth book: and that is saying something.
I thought we may find out a bit
more about the vaguer areas in A Series of Unfortunate Events but there is not much: we find out very little but do encounter many more mysteries. The book contains mainly of old newspaper reports, letters and excerpts of books. I did skim through the book but found it very unappealing. The only part I did enjoy, well actually the only part I was amused by, was the index where I think one entry, VFD I think takes you round and round the whole back few pages looking for an answer: it says the entry, then a reference to another entry, this goes on for around ten entries and then comes to doom and says xi – 211, which is the whole book pretty much.
But I did like learning the Sebald Code as well. : )
