What the world needs is another
children's book. Yes, it actually needs all the children's books it can get.
New stories, new angles, new writers. Mr. Quacker is a character in a new
series of books written by a new
author named Kathy Walker. Mr. Quacker is a
little fat
stuffed animal duck, who was bought from a store where all of the other animals tried to hide him from the customers, by stuffing him in the back row, or even pushing him off into the floor. Every day the store workers would pick him up, dust him off and place him back on the top shelf. The other animals did not like him because he was the cutest animal of all. one day, a little boy's mommy bought the fat little ducky for her son for Easter, and the son named him Mr. Quacker. Now Mr. Quacker gets all the love and attention he deserves, and the little boy has a new friend to play with and to hold while he sleeps at night. There will be more books in this series to entertain children of all ages. The author makes the book seem believable to teh reader, as if teh duck were real and not a stuffed animal. She uses great wording to describe in detail the story of Mr. Quacker. I am sure the rest of the series will be just as entertaining and interesting to read. The book has some wonderful art work in great pastel colors. Mr. Quacker was invented from a similar looking stuffed animal in the Walker household. Even in the Author's home, Mr. Quacker seems alive.
