Interview with a Vampire

Book Review by: spiritflyer

Original Author: Ann Rice
Interview with a Vampire is the first book of the popular vampire chronicles. In this book the reader is introduced to Lestat
the anti-hero by Louis who is telling the story to a journalist. As Louis tells the story, even the jaded sceptic believes and you will
too at least until you have to put the book down and believe me you
won't want to.If you've never read Horror or Ann Rice before you're missing out. Ann's books are totally submersive you lose all thought of there are no such things as vampires, and her characters are so real you feel a kinship with them. For many fans of the vampire chronicles Lestat remains number one. He is an original even to the vampires as he defies tradition again and again. What makes this series unique is the story is from the vampires point of view rather than the victim. It took me a long time to start reading this series because I thought it was going to be just another vampire story, my sister kept telling me about it and finally I got the first one from the library and have been an Ann Rice fan ever since. My favorite vampire is Marius who also is introduced in the story and many more characters, there's sure to be a favorite for you too, you'll be wanting to read more and there's plenty to satisfy your thirst, but be prepared for a sleepless night as you delve into the world of Lestat and Louis, and Lestat may turn you into a complete vampire fan.
