Fables

Article Review by: Donanfer

Original Author: Arnold Lobel
This abstract was translated from Fábulas
- short as they must be it by page with their expressive pen and one, 20 fables illustration in front of their own brush
give account of the pressing necessity, that it harassed without truce to Lobel, to communicate with the children. The term to communicate is not so gratuitous. Fable, in its ancient etimológico origin, comes from Indo-European fab: to speak, to talk... to chatear in today terms. The remora of the moral (moral+aleja) adds itself later with the conceptual deformations insufflated to the language on behalf of sojuzgamientos and componendas political-nuns. Of 20 fables of Lobel there are excellent ones, other good and others like forced to wear a smaller form. Like the lobster and the crab in which the moral is worth single, without the story. Some morals have their saying source - that being a comfortable method of creation does not have less value and others are reflections on the personal experience. Of the excellent ones, the one that opens the book, the crocodile in its dormitory is perfect. A delicious story, either expressed, or finished, with a forceful lesson of behavior in the accompanying moral. A puntita of iceberg to look for, in these fables, coincidence with our character, in shoulders of the anthropomorphism: the bear is insipid and vain, the hen is sabidilla, the baboon is a clown, the frogs by ambition undergo depredation, the cat is a wise person in the one to make its dreams, the ostrich conciliates brain and heart, the she-camel is wanted to itself and is happy, kangaroo son leaves problematic, the sisters legs advise to the secuestrables to leave the routine, the king lion - and all that to which the glove falls to him undergoes setback when falling from the height of its pride. If we want more fables, we leave a little side to Esopo, Iriarte and Samaniego and read the black ewe and other fables of Augusto Monterroso (Abundant spring, 1969).Arnold Lobel it was born the 22 of May of 1933 in the angels, California. Its advertising race like illustrator for Harper & Row began. It conceived many of the personages of his books like Toad, Sepo, Rato''n and Chanchito in his summerings in Vermont. According to he himself it affirms, Sapo and Sepo was personages who used to speak of itself. After studying art, his first works consisted of illustrating histories of others. It received many prizes during his thirty years of race, including the medal Caldecott and a Newbery diploma. It passed away the 4 of December of 1987 in New York.
