Montgomery. Uncle Monty was herpetologist, or the specialist from the vipers. He traeatted Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelair`e in a absolutly different way than count Olaf - he reagled them with the coconut cake and give each other tehe separate room. Uncle Monty had a collection of vipers, which was gathered in the glass pavilon,"The reptile room". Uncle was preparing the expedition to Peru. He wanted to take
children with him and ask the for help in preparations.Violet checked the traps for vipers, Klaus browsed guides about Peru, and Sunny bites ropes for little pieces. Uncle Monty had one problem. Day before, Gustavo, assistant resigned , so Monty employed new one, Stefano. Children liked the Reptile Room very much. Their attention was chained by the large library and cage covered with white sheet. There was a viper discovered by Uncle in the cage. He named it Incredible Deadly Viper (IDV). When he uncovered the viper, it jumped out of the cage and bited the Sunny. Fortunetly the viper wasn`t venomous, and Uncle named it to joke of his colegues from The Herpetology Society. He wanted to free the viper throught the meeting of society and frighten his collegues. Two days before the expediotion departure, when Uncle was in shop, the new assistant appeared. He was bold, and has no brows, but children recognized his tatoo with eye. It was count Olaf. He ordered him to bring on his baggage and threatened them with long knife. Children spent slepless night. Stefano sited in the corridor to prevent them to talk withe Uncle. In the morning, when Stefano was in Reptile Room, they talked with Uncle. in the kitchen. But Uncle get wind of that Stefano was a spy of Herpetology Society and wanted to steal an IDV. Children told Uncle that Stefano is Olaf but he didn`t belive them. But Uncle teared up Staefano`s ticket for Ship "Prospero" to Peru. In the evening, kids, Uncle and Stefano went to cinema for The Zombie in the Snow movie, but they tought about new shabby trick of Olaf. In . the morning Stefano told children that Uncle is dead. There was a sign of the viper`s bite on his cheek. Stefano took children to jeep of Uncle and went for "Prospero". They clashed with another car, when they was going to town. The driver of the second car was Mister Poe, who came to visit the Baudleaire`s. Mister Poe didn`t recognize Olaf. Count lied that he want to get a
doctor from city, beacuse he don`t know nothing about vipers. Mister Poe said that i t will be much quicker when they call for doctor from house of Uncle. Doctor Lucafont came in the second after the telephone. He had big and stif hands. He said that Uncle was bitten by Mamba The Bad. Stefano proposed to go to car mechanic with do when doc finish autopsy. Children din`t want to left alone withe Steafano so problem how to locate passengers appeared. When adults was talking about this problem children went to The Reptile Room. Klaus browsed books about vipers, Violet search the Stefano`s room. There was no traces in there, but Klaus finded out that Mamba not only bites it`s vivtims but also constrict them. And vivtims of it are blue. It means that somebody poisoned Uncle withe the trials of vipers` poisons. In that moment mister Poe came into the Room and said that children will come by jeep with Stefano, and he will come with doc. Sunny became screaming. Olaf and doc came to Room. IDV enlaced the Sunny. Mr. Poe panic, but Stefano said that IDV is harmless. He unmasked himself, and said that his an expert from vipers. Violet opened the Olaf`s suitcase, and found there a flask with poison of Mamba the Bad, syringe (Olaf made with it a sign on the cheek of Uncle), tickets for ship, Herpetology Society`s ID, and mirror (it helped Olaf to hide a tatoo with powder)Mr. Poe rubbed away the powder from the Stafano`s knuckle. The tatoo with an eye appeared. Olaf aadmiotted that he killed Gustavo to take his place. Sunny bites doctor Lucafont in his hand. The hand was made of wood, and do is a Hookhandy from the Olaf`s company. The malefactors run away. The collection was taken by zoo, scientist, etc. Mr. Poe had to find another curator.
