You Are My I Love You, by Maryann K Cusimano and Satomi Ichikawa is a great book for child/parent time.  The verses of this wonderfully illustrated picture book explores the special bonds between parent and child. The opening pages show an adult teddy bear relaxing and snuggled up with her cub and it reads:: "I am your parent;you are my child.I am your quiet place;you are my wild." The pages that follow describe a typical busy day of what parents and children go through. While they play outside, the grown-up explains, "I am your audience; you are my clown.  I am your London Bridge, you are my falling down." After a bath, dinner, prayer, and a story, the poem ends with: "I am your lullaby;you are my peekaboo.I am your good-night kiss;you are my/I love you." This is a beautiful illustrated book and the words are just wonderful.  The joys of being a child with running, spinning, splashing, and hugging are all captured in this book from page 1 to the ending.  I read this book to my child at night for her bedtime story and it help to recapture the days play. If you dont have this book in your collection, it''s highly recommended that you go out and get it, you will not be sorry that you did.
