     The old man and the sea written by Ernest
Hemingway is a classic novel  that is moving and  shows the
realities of life.Santiago was an old fisherman who for many days
doesnt catch a single fish but he continue his search and there started
the battle between him and the great marlin which Santiago gave high
respect for its strength,perseverance,and determination to stay alive,
he even consider the marlin as his brother. The fight between them was
tough but the old man won the battle. On his way home he encountered
sharks the old man defended the marlin courageously but it is futile,
the sharks ate the body of the marlin pieces by pieces until nothing is
left except for the tail and the bone. This shows the reality that
people work hard to achieve their dream but others like the sharks tear
them away until nothings left of that dream. This novel is a true
classic that deserve the pulitzer prize for its simple yet meaningful
message.
