DIGNITY OF MAN

Book Review by: Anonymous

Original Author: GIOVANNI PICO
Writing at the age of twenty four during the era of the rennaissance, Giovanni pico was demonstrating the versatility of
the human mind. This was aperiod when the church held sway of human thoughts and christian teaching and thoughts permeated the human mind and anthing contrary was HERESY.Pico, having read Plato''s treatise and plays, Mohammed''s koranic philosopy ,Greek mythology and Syrian myths concluded that within the human nature and this nature can only be descerned through reflecting on human actions, man has the innate qualities of re-inventing himself as acreator.
Borrowing from the mosaic literature he saw man''s quest for accumulation as vanity and fickle''the urge tomove from one distinct point to the other solily is inherent and not based on some declarations on purgatory. In other words Giovanni was questioning the authority of the ;FATHERS;In this treatise he came out cleary that unity and LOVE for all  triumps and surpasses tautological precepts.
However his brings us to another question where is the dignified man if fickleness, the blunder, the thirsty for revenge is inherent and innate?
Giovanni''s dignity should be read as aprecursor to the eccumenical movement. His thoughts and insights propell the oneness, the unity in diversity of world religious believes.
The discussion he attemted o hold in Rome was considered Heretic
this, could have given us an insight of his versatile mind to acknowledge or denythe critiqueof the church during his day.
World peace can only be achieved through religious integration, as inhabitants of the universe we have to be aware that no known religious believe is above any other. We uphold and accept the existence of the supreme being due to our inference of whatever is sentual, that which can be felt, seen and percieved.
